My name is Shubhodeep Pal. I am a writer and photographer from Dehradun, India.

My first love is poetry. I wrote my first poem when I was twelve — and I haven’t stopped since. My first book of poems, Interruptions (2009), was published by Writers Workshop, Kolkata. Since 2016, I’ve run a poetography collective called The Indiestani Project. We’ve showcased our work at various art festivals and galleries in New Delhi, Mumbai and Singapore. As a freelance journalist, I’ve written on films, books, and popular culture for The Hindu, The Indian Express, Buzzfeed India, Arré and other publications.
